Theory in the classroom. Practice in the field.
The BSW & MSW curriculum at Jalna is structured around Maharashtra's real social conditions — agrarian livelihoods, rural health, caste dynamics — paired with mandatory field placements in communities around Jalna.
Coursework rooted in Maharashtra's realities
Social Work Theory
Agrarian and Rural Issues
Health and Community Practice
Foundations of social welfare, Indian social policy, community organisation, and casework — grounded in Maharashtra's village and urban contexts.
Caste structures, rural livelihoods, land rights, and agricultural distress — examined through fieldwork observations, not urban case studies.
Rural health access, maternal welfare, and community-based interventions — studied alongside active outreach programmes in villages near Jalna.

The field is where you learn who you are.
Every semester includes documented placement hours in communities around Jalna — group meetings, material aid work, and direct engagement with families. Graduates leave with a verified fieldwork record, not just coursework.
